Course Overview

CFSC – Non-Restricted Firearms Safety Course (PAL)

Learn safe handling, storage, transportation, display, operation, and legal responsibilities for non-restricted firearms such as hunting rifles and shotguns.

Ideal For:

New shooters, hunters, recreational shooters, first-time applicants.

CRFSC – Restricted Firearms Safety Course (RPAL)

Covers safe handling, storage, transportation, display, operation, and legal responsibilities for restricted firearms such as handguns.

Ideal For:

Sport shooters, competitive shooters, approved gun range users.

Our goal is to make firearms training approachable-helping every student feel confident, capable, and respected.

Whether it’s your first time handling a firearm you will find our lead instructor (Edwin Labori) values learning, safety and inclusion.

The Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) known as the PAL course is the minimum requirement to own and possess a non-restricted firearm in Canada.

It is a two day comprehensive course which is designed for individuals with little to no knowledge or experience with firearms.

The PAL course is designed to teach individuals all the rules and regulations of transporting, storing and displaying a non-restricted firearm.

Pre-course information

  • Course are delivered in English only, including content and testing

  • Instructor is required to check your identification before the start of the course

    • The current list of acceptable photo ID for the CFSC/CRFSC course reports and examination forms is as follows:

      • Any recognized government identification (Military, Ministry etc.)

      • Passport (any Country)

      • Driver’s License (any province)

      • Ontario Photo Card (or other government-issued provincial photo identification)

      • A letter from the bishop of the Mennonite community can also be accepted as identification
